The VedEarth Story
Shazana Ayurvedic Products Inc. was founded by Parvin Sultana, a strong proponent of India's ancient Ayurvedic Medicinal Science. For centuries, Indian Veds (herbal science physicians) have researched, experimented, and developed thousands of formulas to provide holistic health and healing for the human body using natural herbs, plants, extracts, juices, barks, seeds, flowers, petals, and fruits. Their approach to such an endeavor was, is, and will always be based on a simple premise that the creator of the universe has made everything for the health and well-being of humanity. It is up to man to identify various natural resources and discover their inherent benefits. Over centuries of research, production, and implementation, Ayurvedic practitioners have created many unique formulas passed down from generation to generation to preserve their uniqueness.
Ms. Sultana's passion for pursuing a production in the United States was empirical. In around 2009, she had a slip and fall accident in which she sustained a vertebral injury. The injury affects her Lumber discs L4 and L5, causing extreme pain, numbness, tremors, and insensitivity in her left leg. She resorted to conventional treatments that encompassed physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, pain creams of all kinds, and never-ending massage therapies with topical creams and oils.
She even resorted to getting intrathecal epidural steroid shots that gave temporary relief but also gave side effects of anxiety, depression, shortness of breath and sudden weight gain. After several shots her pain became even worse and put her on a wheel chair for three long years. Then she accidentally found a young Ayurvedic practitioner in India, Dr. Raman Kumar, who hailed from a family of prominent Ayurvedic physicians and had studied Ayurvedic science to carry on the family tradition. His systematic learning of Ayurvedic science and the practicing knowledge imparted by his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, enabled him to create unique formulas to address chronic and non-chronic pains.
Ms. Sultana, desperate to find some relief for her pain, contacted him and agreed to buy the pain cream offered by Dr. Raman Kumar. Upon receiving her cream, she applied as recommended and was amazed at its efficacy. One application gave her 12 hours of relief, thus enabling her to resume her business responsibilities. Realizing how the topical cream had helped her, she thought of the millions of people who were suffering from pain and desperately trying to find relief. Ms. Sultana decided to launch the cream in North American markets.
Being quality-conscious, she decided to import the key ingredients from India and to manufacture the pain cream in the United States. Studying its feasibility, Ms. Sultana realized that to keep the production, marketing, and distribution costs low, creating a product line of at least ten highly effective Ayurvedic products and launching them professionally in the US markets was necessary. It took her over three years of further research to determine a line of her first ten products and to design an infra-structure ready to take to market.
The first product launched by VedEarth in April 2024 is the pain cream TPC-100. Based on about 12 natural ingredients formulary, the cream, when applied topically on the point of pain, quickly penetrates the skin's upper layer to provide transcutaneous comfort and soothing to the underlying muscles, tendons, and nerve endings. Thus, it was branded as TPC-100 and defined as "Transcutaneous Pain Cream with a symbolic moderate strength of 100.
VedEarth, as a brand name, represents the Sanskrit word Ved, which means "An Ayurvedic Physician who has mastered the art of Ayurveda." The word "Earth" signifies the nature of its ingredients derived from the Earth. Thus, "VedEarth" as a brand represents formulas made by a master Ayurvedic physician using only natural earthly ingredients.
